Wingfoiling is the fastest-growing water sport in the world, and Essaouira is proving to be one of the best locations to learn. Combining the power of a hand-held wing with the efficiency of a hydrofoil, it offers a sensation of "flying" over the water that is truly addictive.

Perché Essaouira for Wingfoiling?

Il bay of Essaouira is exceptionally large, providing plenty of room for those long reaches required during the learning phase. More importantly, the side-shore vento means that if you drift, you will simply drift down the spiaggia rather than being pushed out to sea. When to Visit

• Best Wind: April to October (Stronger Alizé).
• Smooth Water: Early mattina or low marea provides the flattest water for learning.
• Wave Foiling: Winter months provide the best swells for advanced foilers.
