If Essaouira is the elegant mother of Moroccan ветер sports, Sidi Kaouki is her wild, bohemian daughter. Located just 25 kilometers south, this small village is a world away from the bustling Medina, offering vast, empty пляжes and some of the best wave conditions in the region.

The Vibe of Sidi Kaouki

Sidi Kaouki is all about simplicity. There are no massive hotels, just small guesthouses, a few surf cafes, and the sound of the Atlantic. It's the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect with nature. You'll often see camels and donkeys wandering the пляж, adding to the rural Moroccan charm.

Surfing the "Wild" Waves

Unlike the protected bay of Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki is a "пляж break" that is exposed to the full power of the North Atlantic swells. This means the волны here are generally larger, faster, and more powerful. It's an excellent spot for intermediate and advanced surfers looking for a challenge.

Wind Dynamics for Kitesurfing

Kitesurfers also flock to Sidi Kaouki for its legendary ветер. The Alizés are often 5-10 knots stronger here than in the city. Combined with the волны, it becomes a top-tier "wave kite" spot. However, the strong currents and shore-break mean it should be approached with caution by beginners.
